NOvia (Shin Pui San), a Malaysian with the background of Multimedia and Graphic Design, won the Champion of Nando’s Peri-fy Art Competition 2012. The following year seen her organizing her solo exhibition "Not So Long Ago" as a 25-year-old young artist, fully sponsored by Nando's. She has also been awarded the Grand prize of the Young Contemporaries Art Competition in 2017 organized by the National Visual Arts Gallery (Malaysia).
She is passionate about documenting Malaysia local culture and history. She believes that the world often conflicts because of historical prejudice. When all of us compete for the earliest, the oldest, the largest, the best, the newest, the most beautiful, the most useful and the most meaningful, there are some other "little" things that did not get to be documented disappearing at an unknown corner.
She has been trying to tell stories with various types of medium ranging from illustration, paper art, miniature art, comic, animation and also installation art. This will be something that keep her busy for a lifetime.
